Instead of relying on conventional multi-way systems with several spatially separated drivers, Dr. Oehlrich opted for a radically different approach. Every additional driver, every crossover, and every transition compromises the accuracy and homogeneity. The-Final consciously avoids compromises and uses a specially developed Fullrange Chassis as its central sound organ.

In close collaboration with the Stuttgart-based high-end manufacturer AER, the BD-Chrome Fullrange Chassis was developed, which is unparalleled worldwide. It combines:

The dipole principle - open sound space instead of a box
To optimally showcase these qualities, The-Final operates according to the dipole principle in the mid- and high-frequency range: The chassis operates openly, without a traditional cabinet, and radiates the sound forward and backward. This results in fewer distracting reflections from the room walls and no cabinet resonances. The sound becomes airier, more three-dimensional, and more relaxed. The soundstage seems more tangible, and the listener is immediately immersed in the musical action without the fatigue that closed speakers often produce.

 

Precision through simulation and hearing tests
Specially developed horns - optimized through simulations and countless listening tests - increase focus on the listener and form a natural frequency response above 130 Hz. This finely tuned behavior and the use of a linear-phase crossover guarantee outstanding temporal precision.
