The-Final, elegance in its most audiophile form

Design meets engineering
The heart of The-Final is the specially developed BD-Chrome full-range driver with its tailor-made horn contour. However, it is only through an uncompromisingly well-thought-out design that it becomes a loudspeaker that combines audiophile excellence with timeless aesthetics.
To design the housing and the horn carrier, developer Dr. Oehlrich collaborated with the renowned Berlin industrial designer Hannes Geipel. Together, through mood boards, prototypes, and countless drafts, they created a design that reinterprets the Bauhaus principle "Form follows function" - reduced to the essentials, free of ornamentation, and uncompromisingly functional.

Minimalism as an acoustic concept
Every detail was designed to support the flow of sound, not hinder it. Sharp edges and corners - potential sources of interference - were consistently avoided. All transitions are rounded to minimize sound reflections and maintain precise location of the music. The result: a horn that blends harmoniously into the design while simultaneously creating optimal acoustic conditions.

Precise alignment to the listening position
Another key criterion was flexibility. The horn mount had to be able to be tilted effortlessly to precisely align the Fullrange Driver to the listening position. Hannes Geipel developed an elegant adjusting screw with an invisible thread and an integrated ball bearing system. This allows the tilt angle to be adjusted precisely and smoothly - engineering at its purest.

Sculptural lightness
Three delicate spikes support the horn, giving it the appearance of a floating sculpture. The minimalist design ensures visual lightness and acoustic clarity. The result is a loudspeaker that sets new standards not only technically but also aesthetically.

Mechanics and perfection
The interaction between the chassis, horn, and mount raises complex mechanical questions: Is the horn absolutely stable? Does resonance occur? Does the material or construction influence the sound radiation? All of these questions are explored in detail in The-Final in the chapter Mechanics.
