The-Final's horn in perfect combination
So far, the focus has been on The-Final's horn, its sonic characteristics, and its masterful craftsmanship. But to unlock its full potential, the horn must also be used practically. Since the horn has a natural roll-off of 12 dB/octave below 130 Hz, its combination with subwoofers is essential. There are virtually no limits to creativity - the only decisive factors are the woofer performance and the ability to adjust the subwoofer cutoff frequency appropriately above 130 Hz. In a 40 m² listening room, for example, the inexpensive SUB 12.17 from XTZ or the MusikBass from Modal Akustik proven to be an ideal playing partner for the horn of The-Final.

 

Perfect integration of the Fullrange Chassis
The decision to use a Fullrange Chassis in the horn guarantees dynamic performance, detailed resolution, and maximum sensitivity, but not a 100% perfect frequency response. To further optimize the result at this point and ensure perfect integration with the subwoofer, the use of a conventional passive crossover was unacceptable - also due to its component losses. Passive crossovers inevitably cause phase distortion, limit subwoofer positioning, and dampen the dynamic performance of the horn. This was not an option for the uncompromising sound experience of The Final.

 

Roon with FIR filters - the heart of the system
The solution: A fully active system with Roon, a FIR crossover developed by Dr. Oehlrich for the Roon DSP, and the four-channel ADI-2/4 Pro SE DAC from RME. The crossover, specially developed for The Final, orchestrates the horn in combination with any subwoofer to create a harmonious overall system. It ensures perfect timing, linear phase, and maximum detail - without compromising the horn's dynamic range.

 

Individual calibration for audiophile perfection
To ensure that the full quality of The-Final unfolds in every listening room, the horn is offered exclusively as a package with Roon and the RME ADI-2/4 DAC - including personal on-site measurement and calibration by Dr. Oehlrich. This creates a tailor-made complete system that meets the highest audiophile standards and makes music vivid, tangible, and emotionally engaging.
